.छत्तीसगढ़ में सन् 1995 के दशक में स्थापित सबसे बड़ा निजी अस्पताल एमएमआई इन दिनों विवादों में है. विवाद का प्रमुख कारण अस्पताल की सत्ता पाने दो प्रबंधनो के बीच का झगड़ा है. अस्पताल का भूमिपूजन 1989 में तत्कालीन मध्यप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री सुन्दरलाल पटवा ने किया था.1995 में यह बनकर तैयार हो गया. 23 अक्टूबर 1995 को तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री दिग्विजय सिंह ने इस अस्पताल का लोकार्पण किया. लोकार्पण के कुछ ही समय बाद ही अस्पताल प्रबंधन ट्रस्टियो के बीच कई मुद्दों को लेकर विवाद शुरू हो गया.
विवाद का नतीजा यह हुआ कि प्रबंधन दो भागों में बंट गया. अब प्रबंधन महेन्द्र धाड़ीवाल, रेखचंद लूनिया सहित आठ लोगो से निकलकर यह सुरेश गोयल और अन्य साथियों के पास आ गया. पहले सरकारी स्तर पर विवाद को निपटाने का प्रयास हुआ और जब मामला यहां नहीं निपटा तो कोर्ट में पहुंच गया. धाड़ीवाल और साथियों का कहना है कि हाई कोर्ट से फैसला उनके पक्ष में आया है. 
इस महीने की 29 जुलाई को महेन्द्र धाड़ीवाल और साथियों का समूह कोर्ट का आदेश साथ लेकर अस्पताल पहुंचा. बताया जा रहा है कि पुलिस और प्रशासन के लोगो की उपस्थिति में डायरेक्टर और कुछ अन्य कमरों के ताले तोड़े गये. सुरेश गोयल रायपुर में अपना टीवी चैनल भी चलाते हैं उक्त चैनल में कुछ लोगों को हाथ में हथोड़ा लिये डायरेक्टर समेत कुछ अन्य कमरों के ताले तोड़ते हुए दिखाया गया है. खबर का शीर्षक था दिन दहाड़े एमएम आई में डकैती!इस संबन्ध में अस्पताल के ट्रस्टी महेन्द्र धाड़ीवाल से जब इस प्रतिनिधि ने बात की तो उनका कहना था कि यह बिल्कुल वैसा ही मामला है जैसा किसी किरायेदार और मालिक का होता है. वे मकान को खाली नहीं कर रहे थे हमने कानून का सहारा लिया और पुलिस के साथ पहुंचे और अस्पताल का पुराना ताला तोड़कर अस्पताल को अपने अधिकार में लिया.

MMI, the largest private hospital established in Chhattisgarh in 1995, is in controversy these days. The main reason for the dispute is the fight between the two management to get the power of the hospital. Bhoomi Pujan of the hospital was done by the then Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Sundarlal Patwa in 1989 and it was ready in 1995. On 23 October 1995, the then Chief Minister Digvijay Singh inaugurated the hospital. Shortly after the launch, a dispute started between the hospital management trustees over many issues.
The result of the dispute was that the management was divided into two parts. Now the management has come out from eight people including Mahendra Dhariwal, Rekhachand Lunia and it came to Suresh Goyal and other colleagues. First, there was an attempt to settle the dispute at the government level and when the matter was not settled here, it reached the court. Dhariwal and colleagues say that the decision from the High Court has come in their favor.
On July 29 of this month, Mahendra Dhadiwal and a group of colleagues reached the hospital with a court order. It is being told that the locks of the director and some other rooms were broken in the presence of people of police and administration. Suresh Goyal also runs his own TV channel in Raipur, in the said channel some people have been shown breaking the locks of some other rooms including the director with a hand in hand. The news was titled Robbery at MMI in broad daylight! When this representative spoke to Mahendra Dhadiwal, the trustee of the hospital, in this regard, he said that this is exactly the same as a tenant and owner. They were not evacuating the house, we resorted to the law and arrived with the police and broke the old lock of the hospital and took the hospital in our possession.
